Provide tank construction, location, approximate accessible dimensions and intended contents. Distinguish drinking-water storage from other uses. Water loss may arise at fittings or joints as well as the lining. The selected repair should follow inspection rather than the assumption that every leak needs recoating of all surfaces.
Check exact lining suitability
Request the current technical and suitability documents for the proposed product. A supplied sheet’s statement must be reviewed against the actual use and relevant requirements. Do not assume that every SR or SF product is approved for drinking-water contact. Confirm primer, repair materials and other components as part of the assembly.
Arrange safe access and service interruption
The responsible team must plan draining, cleaning, isolation, access and temporary service arrangements. Do not enter an enclosed tank to photograph it. Confined-space and hygiene procedures require appropriate qualified specialists. A coating enquiry does not automatically include those specialist responsibilities or permissions.
Agree return-to-service and maintenance records
