| Project type | Commercial basement / foundation |
|---|---|
| Location | Doha, Qatar |
| Problem | Ground-water ingress & damp walls |
| System | SR Flex + SR Coat MTX + SR Coat DP20 |
| Scope | Basement walls & slab |
| Timeline | ~1 week |
| Outcome | Dry, protected basement |

A commercial building's basement suffered persistent damp walls and water ingress from ground water and hydrostatic pressure, threatening finishes, stored goods and the concrete structure itself. Surface paint had blistered and a musty smell signalled ongoing moisture.
We applied a combined system for maximum protection: SR Flex cementitious coating bonded into the concrete to resist hydrostatic pressure, a tough SR Coat MTX membrane over critical areas and junctions, and SR Coat DP20 on the affected walls. All cracks and construction joints were treated and reinforced first.
The basement is now dry and protected, with no further ingress or damp. The combined cementitious-plus-membrane approach handles pressure from both sides — safeguarding the structure and the space for the long term.
