| Project type | Villa roof & terrace |
|---|---|
| Location | Doha, Qatar |
| Problem | Recurring roof & ceiling leaks |
| System | SR Coat MTX + reinforcement + UV topcoat |
| Approx. area | ~250 m² |
| Timeline | ~3 days |
| Outcome | 100% leak-free, flood-tested |

The villa's flat roof had leaked for two consecutive seasons, with damp patches and staining appearing on the ceilings below. Previous spot-repairs hadn't held because the real entry points — cracked screed, weak pipe-penetration details and a failed old coating — were never properly addressed. Under Doha's heat and thermal cycling, the brittle old membrane had cracked and lost adhesion.
After a free survey to trace the true source, we prepared the substrate (cleaning, crack treatment and coving), then detailed all pipe penetrations and upstands with reinforcement mesh. We applied a seamless SR Coat MTX hybrid-urethane membrane in cross-applied coats, finished with a UV-stable topcoat for Qatar's sun. Critical junctions were reinforced with SR Quikseal.
The roof was flood-tested for 48 hours with zero ingress, then handed over with a written system warranty. Two seasons on, the ceilings are completely dry — and the reflective topcoat also lowered the roof's surface temperature, easing the cooling load.
