A villa compound's concrete water tank was slowly losing water, with damp patches appearing on the outer walls. The old lining had cracked and was no longer safe or watertight. Because the tank stores drinking water, any replacement lining had to be certified non-toxic.
We drained and prepared the tank, repaired honeycombing and cracks, then applied SR Flex — an acrylic-modified cementitious lining tested to BS 6920 for potable water and to 50 m hydrostatic head. It bonds into the concrete and stays flexible, protecting both the water and the structure.
After the recommended cure, the tank was flood-tested, confirmed watertight, and returned to service. The compound now has a safe, durable, potable-approved water store — with no more seepage or water loss.
